4.CS.D.01 Select and use appropriate computing systems to perform a variety of tasks for an intended outcome while recognizing that users have different needs for the technology they use.

Students will choose appropriate devices and/or software to complete a desired task.   Students will also recognize the unique needs and preferences of users.

  • Provide students with opportunities to explore the features and limitations of different computing systems (desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones) and share their experiences with others.

  • Facilitate student conversations about the computing systems and how the features, capabilities, and limitations of the systems can determine the most appropriate use.

  • Discuss the different needs of technology users and how technology can be personalized according to these needs.
